Made in Britain: what this means for our customers

Making products that are completely bespoke, right here in the Home Counties, means we can offer the very highest quality. In order to be members of Made in Britain, we need to adhere to their core principles and standards, which is your reassurance that you’re dealing with a company which cares.

This is the criteria we’ve met to become Made in Britain members:

  • We have our own manufacturing facilities where we make our products
  • We keep our workshop safe, fully adhering to all health and safety standards
  • We are committed to providing jobs in a skilled/semi-skilled environment
  • We act fairly and ethically in all our commercial activities

When you choose to buy from us, you’re supporting homegrown talent and the local economy. You’ll be very much a part of the process, too, and you’re welcome to visit our workshop. We’re proud to be British manufacturers and want you to share in the experience.

Why is joinery an important British product?

British joinery is distinct from joinery in Europe, or anywhere else in the world for that matter. Think of all our unique British architecture and the many listed buildings we have – historic Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian homes in particular are an important part of our heritage and need to be carefully preserved. Their joinery gives them character, but to keep these properties in good condition, period features need to be looked after by skilled joiners and carpenters with the knowledge required to restore, refurbish and maintain them.

That’s where we come in. We’re proud ambassadors of British joinery and we’ve built our careers around preserving it. British architecture and British joinery go hand in hand – we’re here to help look after your property.
